In late December 2012 I spent two weeks in Jogjakarta, Java. Whilst I was there a local travelling carnival set-up with one of the featured attractions being Haunted Houses. Hand-made, hand-painted and depicting a variety of horror themes and characters, I did a series of drawings on site. Back in the studio in Australia I completed a series of large paintings based on the visits to the Haunted Houses, continuing my personal themes relating to home and houses.
